Sir Dwight passed away on Dec. 22, 2016, and was laid to rest in Saint Lucia on Jan. 4.
The family of the late Hon. Sir K. Dwight Venner has expressed appreciation for the outpouring of support during the family’s time of bereavement.
In a thank you note on behalf of the family, Zinga Venner, daughter of the late Sir Dwight wrote: “We, the family of Sir K. Dwight Venner, would like to express our deep gratitude for the love and support we have received through your messages, flowers, tributes and prayers during this time of bereavement. We find solace in your appreciation of his lifetime of service to the Caribbean, and we pray that his tireless efforts towards regional unity and progress will continue to inspire current and future generations to carry on working towards these goals.”
Sir Dwight passed away on Dec. 22, 2016, and was laid to rest in Saint Lucia on Jan. 4. Hundreds—including heads of governments and dignitaries from across the region, the Board of Directors, and the Executive Committee of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank—attended the funeral service held at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Castries, Saint Lucia.
