The awards recognize top-booking travel agents and agencies as part of the Preferred Agent Saint Lucia Specialist (PASS) education and training program.
In acknowledgement of a record-breaking year of 11 percent growth in visitor arrivals, the Saint Lucia Tourist Board (SLTB) has announced the top-selling travel agents and Piton Award winners for 2014.
In honor and recognition of the accomplishments of these select agents, and as a sign of its appreciation of their efforts, the Tourist Board will also host the first annual Piton Awards Island Fete, June 11 - 14. The four-day affair includes adventure and culinary island tours and a special awards ceremony.
The awards recognize top-booking travel agents and agencies as part of the Preferred Agent Saint Lucia Specialist (PASS) education and training program.
Throughout the four-day Piton Award Island Fete, the top-selling travel agents and Piton Award winners will experience Saint Lucia’s adventurous side through a variety of land and sea based excursions. The agents will also receive a real taste of the island through planned culinary activities at leading island resorts and a special tree-to-bar chocolate-making experience.
“The Piton Award recipients represent an elite category of travel partners and we welcome the chance to celebrate with them. The Tourist Board is so appreciative of their support, and the support of all our travel agent partners, to Saint Lucia’s tourism industry,” said Tracey Warner Arnold, SLTB Deputy Director of Tourism.
