Saint Lucia Kings face off in the 2021 Hero Caribbean Premier League

THE SAINT LUCIA TOURISM AUTHORITY URGES SUPPORT FOR THE TEAM.

Saint Lucia Kings will momentarily begin to take on their opponents, bowling first, in today’s match of the regular season of the 2021 Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Games in St. Kitts.  Prime Minister-Hon. Phillip J. Pierre; Minister for Youth Development and Sports- Hon. Kenson Casimir and; Hon. Dr. Ernest Hilaire- Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture, and Information, teamed up with the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA), offering inspiration to the home team through a series of video messages that will air throughout the games. 

Added to the lone Saint Lucian player on the team- Johnnel Eugene, the nationalities of other players include South Africa, Trinidad, Guyana, Singapore, Saint Vincent, and the Grenadines, Barbados, Antigua, Jamaica, Australia, England, and Pakistan. 

The support for Saint Lucia Kings in the 2021 Hero CPL is just a taste of the direction that the Government of Saint Lucia, through the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, is preparing to propel the already thriving Sports Tourism Niche Market. 

Saint Lucia Kings will take on the Jamaican Tallawahs on Friday 27th August, and on Sunday 29th, will face off with the Trinbago Knight Riders. The Kings will continue to battle for their place with another match against the Trinbago Knight Riders on Tuesday, August 31st, the Warriors on September 2nd, and the Patriots on September 5th, with all games scheduled to commence at 10:00 a.m.

Things will shift slightly with Saint Lucia Kings moving to a day-night match at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, September 8th against the Warriors, and on September 9th against the Tallawahs. 

At 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 11th, and Sunday, September 12th, the skillful and ardent Saint Lucia Kings will take to the pitch once again, in the final of their games in the regular season against the Tridents. The outcome of the games should seal the Kings' place in the semi-finals set for September 13th – 15th. 

 The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority wishes to encourage our Saint Lucian family, both at home and in the Diaspora to support the Saint Lucia Kings throughout their entire journey of the 2021 Hero CPL.
