Chairman of the NCF, Martin Weekes, is encouraging the public to turn up in large numbers to submit their time or donations in support of the NCF’s annual National Telethon.
He said that tough economic times have fallen on everyone, including the less fortunate, and called on Saint Lucians to show support by contributing to its cause at the annual telethon.
“We at the NCF pride ourselves in making optimum use of every dollar that we get. So whatever you give, whether it be money or time, please rest assured that none of it will be wasted,” Mr. Weeks said.
Already, the NCF has raised $80,000 of its $250,000 target via corporate sponsors who have pledged their continued support to the NCF.
“Despite harsh economic times, it’s good to see that all of the sponsors are here recommitting to the cause,” said Robert Fevriere of 1st National Bank.
“Indeed it is with great pride that LUCELEC once again announces its continued support of the NCFand its telethon. We are happy to assist with the efforts of the NCF in meeting the social needs of the community,” said LUCELEC Representative Carmy Joseph.
Consolidated Foods Limited (CFL) RepresentativeSoriah Best-Joseph also announced her company’s recommitment to the NCF for its invaluable work, while LIME Representative, Terry Finisterre said that his company’s contribution was an investment in the people and the nation of Saint Lucia.
The NCF raises fund to assist with educational and medical programs, youth at risk and care of the elderly.
