THE CENTRAL STATISTICAL OFFICE IS SEEKING PUBLIC COOPERATION AS THE 2022 SAINT LUCIA CENSUS CONTINUES UNTIL THE END OF NOVEMBER.
The ongoing national census began in May 2022 and was slated for completion in September. However, the Director of the Central Statistical Office, Mr. Sean Mathurin, said the 2022 National Housing and Population Census has gone past the halfway stage and is due to be wrapped up by the end of November.
“We continue to make progress with regards to the data collection despite the challenges—some we anticipated and some that are new to us.”
The CSO director explained that the population and housing census is key for determining priorities for national development and has again appealed to the general public for their cooperation and participation.
“We assure the public that the data collected will be done in the strictest confidence,” he said.
The theme for this year’s national housing and population census is Konté Ste Lisi, the future is counting on you.
