DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR TARGETED PHASE OF MSME LOAN-GRANT FACILITY

The MSME Loan-Grant Facility remains a blended financial instrument that combines low-interest loans with grant-funding to provide businesses with critical access to capital.

The Department of Commerce informs the general public that the deadline for receipt of applications for the targeted phase of the Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (MSME) Loan-Grant Facility has been extended to January 30th 2026 at 2:00 p.m. This rollout focuses on the baking sector and non-financial producer cooperatives.

 

The MSME Loan-Grant Facility remains a blended financial instrument that combines low-interest loans with grant-funding to provide businesses with critical access to capital. The MSME Loan-Grant Facility Extension Phase follows a structured application and evaluation process, with detailed eligibility criteria and guidelines.

  1. Baking Sector:

Financial Support is available for commercial and traditional bakers to enhance production capacity, improve business systems, and encourage further formalization and automation. Micro-sized and small baking businesses may apply for up to $20,000.00 (XCD), whilst medium-sized baking businesses may apply for up to $50,000.00 (XCD) in funding.

 

  1. Non-financial Producer Cooperatives:

Financial support is offered to registered, restructuring producer cooperatives to boost individual operations, promote innovation, and expand their economic footprint. The maximum amount of the fund available per enterprise is $50,000.00 (XCD), however, partnering cooperatives may apply for the aggregate maximum threshold.

 

Applications may be downloaded from the Department of Commerce’s website (www.commerce.gov.lc) and submitted physically to the Department of Consumer Welfare on the corner of Micoud and Coral Streets, Castries; the Southern Division of the Department of Commerce located on the third floor of the Uptown Business Centre on New Dock Road, Vieux Fort; and the Department of Cooperatives located at #5 Colony House, John Compton Highway, Castries.
